From the completion of the "Keep the light of light of hope alive" campaign until now, Hope Hospital has been able to provide various important health services to more than 13,845 children as well as many outpatient services to thousands more. These children have survived and have experienced superior, free health care because of your help - so thank you. The hospital is trying to keep providing high-quality health services to people in need despite the fluctuating and often dangerous security situation in northern Syria.

We want to share with you a story of success made possible by the warm heart of CanDoers through your donations and support. Let me introduce you to Hanan.
Hanan was born in October 2018 in a small town called “Tal Battal” in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. She suffered from high fever a few days after her birth, and after having been given unknown medications in various different places, she visited Hope Hospital where she was immediately admitted to ICU.
When Hanan arrived at the hospital, she was in a devastating health condition - suffering from convulsions, high fever and a loss of consciousness, so the medical staff in Hope Hospital immediately started emergency interventions and investigations.

As the convulsions continued, the medical team decided to conduct a brain scan as they suspected she was suffering from cerebral edema. This was confirmed by the CT scan.
A treatment plan was carried out by the medical team in the ICU where the Hanan stayed for 27 days until she recovered and was discharged
