Shafak is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian assistance in order to help people cope with and overcome war and crisis situations through the implementation of Food Security and Livelihood, Protection, Education, Health, SNFI and WASH programs. However, the humanitarian work of the Organization extends not only to the Syrian people but also to all those in need. Shafak has a membership in all clusters under UN-OCHA platform, NGO Forum and SNA (Syrian NGO Alliance).

Our mission

Shafak is a humanitarian non-profit organization that provides humanitarian assistance and services to cope with and overcome war, crisis and disaster situations through the implementation of food security and livelihood, protection, education, health, and WASH programs to create empowered communities capable of building their sustainable institutions.

Our objectives

The organization was established to provide aid and relief assistance to the affected Syrian people and build their capacities to rely on themselves and rebuild their country. However, the humanitarian work of the Organization extends not only to the Syrian people but also to all those in need in any country where a branch of the Organization is opened, based on the Organization’s belief in the principles and ethics of humanitarian action.

These aids focus and are not limited to the following objectives:

• Empower the community by providing sustainable livelihoods;
• Empower individuals by providing them with the necessary protection and health programs; and
• Participate in building the future through education.
